It’s Going Down…

It’s Going Down…featured

I’m yelling timber…or that I finally broke down and started a blog!

Mommy blogging is something I discovered back when I found out I was pregnant with Evelyn.  Being the first of my friends with a baby, or even close to having a baby for that matter, I often turned to various blogs for sound motherhood advice {read: getting through sleepless nights, forgiveness for messy homes and hair, finding humor in changing an outfit for the fourth, fifth, even SIXTH time due to spit up, a blow out, or some other unidentifiable stain}.  And as sad as it may be, blog reading has helped maintain my sanity, given me guidance through times of uncertainty, and opened my eyes to the beauty of choosing to laugh in the glamorous early days of motherhood .  Plus, thanks to the weirdness of social media and the feeling it creates of knowing someone you’ve never met, it’s been fun to watch other bloggers and their families grow throughout the year.

Stalking Reading all these blogs has made me think it would be fun to try my hand in the world of mommy blogs, so tahda! here we are.  Maybe someday my blog will be the light and laughter for other moms out there; or maybe you find yourself here because of my stellar writing and impeccable picture taking skills; orrr maybe this blog will help me keep family and friends updated on all the thrills in our everyday life.  The possibilities are infinite!  I don’t have tons of any experience when it comes to blogging and only limited experience as a mama, but I do love sharing stories and taking pictures of my little family.  If nothing else I’m excited to watch my family grow through the years here.  These pictures really have nothing to do with this post other than they are pretty darn cute {in my very humble opinion}.  Evie is 19 weeks old now and getting bigger, sweeter, and smarter by the second.  These are the outtakes from our weekly update over on the gram.
