On having to take Christmas lights down…3 days before the start of February…after the HOA sent us a nice little letter
Steve: Hey wanna help me?
Becca: Not even a little bit
Steve: Randomly breaks out singing All By Myself for the remainder of the morning while putting off taking down the lights

While driving the car {I’m in the passenger seat}
Steve: Hey have you seen that monkey in the mirror?
Becca: …
Steve: Flips down passenger visor mirror

Speculating on what breed Gracie is
Becca: Maybe Gracie’s part corgi
Steve: I hope she’s part frozen right now
(Gracie was outside)

Texting me from work
Steve: What are you doing?
Becca: Watching our daughter sleep
Steve: Creep

Cooking dinner one night, Steve hates most things green
Steve: Guess what? There’s a whole piece of lettuce in my carrots and broccoli
Becca: Wow
Steve: What can I say, I’m a new me

Talking about what we wanted to be when we grew up
Steve: I wanted to be a meteorologist
Becca: So why didn’t you?
Steve: I didn’t know how to get into it
Steve: …
Steve: Plus I didn’t have a cool last name like Larry Sprinkle

On whether or not Gracie and Beau should be allowed to be in the kitchen while we eat
Becca: You can’t teach an old dog new tricks
Steve: You can bury them in the ground though

Laying on the bed one afternoon, enjoying the silence while Evie slept
Steve: …

Steve: If I had to rate you on a scale of 1-10, you’d be over a 7 because you’re basic

Getting dressed for a night out
Becca: I hate hose
Steve: Me too, they’re always trippin

On girls maturing faster
Steve: Whatever booger lips!
